Lois J. Smith, 87, of Muscatine, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Bickford Senior Living.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 30, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Nichols Life Tribute Funeral and Cremation Services, Muscatine, is caring for the arrangements. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Lois Jean Blake was born March 21, 1929, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Ollie F. and Dorothy Zimmerman Blake. She married Leroy Gene Smith on January 31, 1958, in Muscatine.

She was most recently a homemaker having worked as a button carder at the former Muscatine Pearl Works.

She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Michael Blake of Atalissa; daughter, Penny (Greg) Hargrave of Fruitland; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
