Siri Karen Kording ,73 , of Muscatine, passed away Sunday, September 11th, 2016 at Lutheran Living Senior Campus .

Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 17th, 2016, at Shepherd of the Cross Lutheran Church 3300 Hwy 38N Muscatine, IA 52761 . Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Nichols Life Tribute Funeral and Cremation Services, Muscatine, is caring for the arrangements.

Karen was born October 25th, 1942 in Vallejo, California, the daughter of Edward W. and Doris Lucille Cook Price. She married Glenn C. Kording in Vallejo, CA. They had two children, Wendy A. and Jason M. Kording. They were later divorced.

She had retired as a contract administrator with Stanley Consultants and later served as church secretary at Shepherd of the Cross Lutheran Church. She was also very active in the community having served on the Board of Directors with several area organization including, Senior Resources, Inc. Hershey Manor Senior Living and Habitat for Humanity. She was a member of the Board of Lay Ministers at Shepherd of the Cross Lutheran Church, where she was a Charter Member, and volunteered at the Muscatine County Humane Society.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Jason M. Kording of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Christian (Michele Dacy) Nichols of Waterloo and Katherine (Tim) Stacy of Muscatine; and brother, Stephen (Marj) Price of Seattle, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Wendy A. Callery in 2014, and sister, Sharon Hipskind.
